5 from Practice 01/29/09

I have had enough time to bang out 5. I can burn the whole thing to a disc for those who want the rest. But the good and the bad

1. We have to stick to format, we are getting close, but not there yet
2. When we record off the PA we really need to dial in the vocal levels. Chuck was to high Jay too low.
3. We cant change the setting of our amps once we start, we have to get a decent volume and not fiddle. Both jay and I are guilty.
4. We need to count off on the songs and all come in at once.
5. Much better on less time between songs and endings were solid. we ended up playing 14 songs, A new record.
6. We need to stay in our range on the harmonies, we should really just have a sperate session on this alone from the tunes.

In no particular order.

Happy New Year - 2008 Recap

Thanks to all of our fans that followed our activities in 2008. We are really
excited to play out again this spring and summer in 2009. It’s an exciting
time for the band as we move into 2009 with all our new tunes and we look
forward to seeing you at our next gig.

Well, its official, our new CD "Scale Worthy" will be recorded around
April 2009 at Roscoe (Eric) Amble's studio. He's a pretty high end guy,
works with the pro’s like Marshall Crenshaw, Nils Lofgren, Ryan Adams, the
list goes on and on. He's a member of the Yayhoo's Band with ex-Georgia
Satellites Singer Dan Baird. This will be one killer of a recording and we cant
wait to play the new material for you folks.

A look back at 2008 highlights for The MCP Band :

1. Some very positive music reviews were posted of our debut CD “Above the
Waterline”.

Whispering and Hollering says:
“….. 8 out of 10 stars…. the MCP Band knows that the real deal should
rock like hell……. The MCP Band must be a potent live creature….”

Hellhound on My Trail says:
“….the MCP Band does not dare to shy away from any musical boundaries,
encompassing rock and blues-inspired songs that can fill any room with dancing,
head bopping…”

Overground Underground says:
“….it is apparent that MCP’s raw talent is uniquely clever… surely
listen to the MCP Band’s righteous tunes”

“the Next GAC Star” TV broadcast this summer.

3. Multiple CD sales from France, Australia, Spain..

4. Multiple track of the week/day awards at Garageband.com and we broke into
the top 20.

Coming up in 2009:

Interview in Twang Town (twangtown.com) to be printed in January
Music Festival targets for late summer
Gigs dates available, we are ready to play in Brooklyn, NYC, NJ in a few
